How do we defign Smart Home??

Definition of a smart home according to “India Smart Home Market Outlook, 2022”
New Residential: Lighting Control in the residential segment includes all the smart switches, dimmers, lighting sockets compatible with the hub. Energy Management includes Heat, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning – HVAC controls like thermostat only. Security includes smart cameras that work in tandem with smart locks to provide access controls from anywhere. The Blinds means motorized blinds which can be controlled from a Smartphone and can be programmed with various sensors, timings and can work in tandem with the lighting as well as Entertainment Controls. Others include various types of sensors, cabling, and other equipment. Sensors include motion sensors, smoke sensors, occupancy sensors, flood sensors, gas sensors, door and window sensors, etc. which can be used as a trigger for carrying out a programmed scene for blinds, lights, and entertainment controls.
Retro Residential: Lighting Controls includes all the retrofit lighting controls and fan controls in a room, and it can be dimmed through the app, it doesn’t include dimming switches. Hub is one central controlling unit through which all the connected devices like lights, fans, smart sockets can be controlled. These hubs can be with or without multiple sensors and IR blasters. If the hub is with IR blaster then it can be used to operate TV and AC. Smart Sockets are used for heavy power rating appliances such as Air Conditioners, heaters, etc. and they can be turned on and off through the Smartphone application provided by the manufacturers.
Hotels: Lighting control includes all the lighting controls across the hotel (lawn, banquets, reception, lobby, pool, etc.). Energy Management includes HVAC controls across different parts of the hotel. Security includes access controls to restricted places, boom barriers, and other security measures like unidentified object detecting programs, fire sensors, and various types of triggers. The controlling unit is the brain of the overall automation system. It includes central controlling units and relays which are hard-wired with various controls across the hotel. Blinds include motorized blinds in different areas of the hotel which can be programmed. Entertainment covers distributed audio video control systems and other supporting hardware. Others are sensors, touch screen, cabling, etc. includes various sensors which can be used as a trigger. It also includes the cabling required for this automation system.
Hotel Rooms: Lighting Control includes all the lighting controls, dimmer switches, etc. Energy Management includes thermostat and HVAC controls. All the smart blind controls working in tandem with lighting control based on pre-programmed scenes e.g. movie, romantic, dinner, reading, etc. Others include various sensors as well as touch panels which can be used to control lighting, thermostat, and blinds. All of these controls can be programmed together to create scenes.
